South of the river Odeceixe, you can walk a circular path, partly along the Historical Way, partly along the Fisherman's Trail. Start in the centre of Odeceixe and follow the red-white marks of the Historical Way, till you reach the mill that dominates the village. Continue along the beautifully coloured houses, keep right at the first split and turn right at the end of the road to follow the small irrigation channel.
After three kilometer, you will see the sign for the Fisherman's trail, pointing to the right. The trail passes a few farms with ornament plants till it reaches the cliffs again. The narrow patch continues to the north through a dune area and again stunning views of the coastline.
At the estuary of the Odeceixe river, you will see a great beach. In summer, it is probably full of surfers and beachlovers. At the end of October however, it is completely deserted, allowing us to enjoy it in all its beauty. The path back to Odeceixe goes via the main road. A small minus point, which is easily pardoned. (in order to avoid it, you can cross the river and return via the other side, where you will find a much quieter dust road).
