We consider Puerto de Mogan as the 'most beautiful village of Gran Canaria'. It is the westernmost village on the South coast, the 'Highway' doesn't yet stretch as far (although it comes already nearby, with only three more tunnels to go). Probably it therefore doesn't suffer yet under the mass-tourism. In the old town you will find neither high-rise, nor luxurious hotels or big shopping centres. There is a small harbour, where many fishermen are active, a small promenade with sufficient and varied dining options. In the small streets it is the quiet walking and the channels give it a ' Venetian ' character.
Deeper in the Valley are already some larger hotels and some other are planned, although it wil take a few more years before it is all finished.
