Lovers of beautiful gardens, we can definitely recommend to visit the botanical gardens of Rayol. Rayol itself is a small village on the D559, the Corniche des Maures. In 1989 the domain was purchased by the Conservatoire du Littoral and transformed into a "Mediterranean Garden", a collection of plants that thrive in an identical environment but in different continents. There is a Canarian, a California garden, an Australian, an American, a Chilean, a New Zealand, a South African and an Asian garden. Everywhere you become overwhelmed by the colors of the flowers, although, in our case, it was fairly early on the season - early April – with, as a background, of the blue sea and les Iles d'Hyeres in the distance.
Count on at least 2 to 3 hours to fully enjoy your visit. We let the pictures speak for themselves.
